Limited Time Offer for Nonprofit Organizations

To celebrate the launch of the CaptionsON public service campaign, VITAC is offering offline captioning services to nonprofit organizations. For those organizations submitting requests between May 8, 2008, and July 8, 2008, VITAC will provide captioning for one video production up to one hour in length per organization.  

VITAC will pick up the cost of creating the captioning and converting the file to the appropriate file format for your use or encoding the captions back to a captioned master format.

To apply:

1. Fill out the information on the following page.
2. VITAC will contact you with directions for submitting your video.
3. Send your video to VITAC.

Criteria:

• Your organization must be certified 501C(3) nonprofit.
• Captioning must be ordered by July 8, 2008.
• Length of video must not exceed 60 minutes.
• Your organization must hold the copyright for any material to be captioned.
• If applicable, your organization must supply blank tape stock or purchase blank tape stock from VITAC.
• Should multiple field offices of a nonprofit service provider submit the same material to be captioned, VITAC reserves the right to caption such material only once.
• Your organization must not have worked with VITAC in the past.
• Return shipping charges are not included; either provide VITAC with shipping account information or purchase return shipping from VITAC.
